Q&A with Outfields developer Tim Elliott: "There was nowhere to go but up"
With land acquisition for Truist Park already in the works to serve as the foundation for a catalyst project in downtown High Point, Maryland-based Elliott Sidewalk Communities was brought on board as the city’s development partner in the effort. With a regional track record of success in Greenville, North Carolina, and Rock Hill, South Carolina, the company specializes in developing walkable districts that serve to connect education institutions and downtowns.
On pace to generate more than three times the economic investment originally promised, the project aims to create a year-round, walkable district of restaurants, residences, offices and entertainment that would ultimately spread to the showroom district and to High Point University.
