ECU trustees approve ground lease agreement
Elliott Sidewalk Communities, a Maryland-based development company, struck a deal with ECU in December to develop three properties in the warehouse district off 10th and Evans streets.
ECU’s Board of Trustees has agreed to lease up to an additional 2.5 acres of warehouse district property to a company that is planning a revitalization project for the area.
The trustees unanimously approved the lease during a special called meeting on Thursday.
The UNC Board of Governors must finalize the deal, which will be presented at its July 22-23 meeting.
