'It's time to build'
Groundbreaking held for food hall building
HIGH POINT — The developer overseeing the proposed retail, hotel and apartment projects outside BB&T Point stadium on Wednesday said dirt will soon be moving in preparation for the first building.
Tim Elliott, managing partner of Maryland-based Elliott Sidewalk Communities, said construction on 275 North Elm, a mixed-use building that will include a food hall, is starting this week.
“We should be going in real earnest in about a week. We are closing with the bank, and that should be by the end of this week, and then we’ll get going,” said Elliott. “We’ll hopefully finish this building late May or early June of next year, and the food hall will probably be operating in June.”
