Elliott Sidewalk Communities Names General Contractor for 275 North Elm

HIGH POINT, N.C. (May 29, 2019) – Elliott Sidewalk Communities today announced it has selected Kirkland, Inc. as the general contractor for its 275 North Elm project. The first building set to begin construction in The Outfields development adjacent to High Point’s new Rockers baseball stadium, 275 North Elm will feature a food hall on the first floor and office space on the second and third floors. Kirkland and Elliott Sidewalk Communities are expected to break ground this summer.

Kirkland’s first significant commercial project was a furniture showroom; the company has gone on to build 25 showrooms totaling 1.2 million square feet including recent projects for Najarian Furniture and New Classic, as well as a new 257,000 square feet distribution center for Crown Mark. Kirkland has also completed signature projects for other local High Point companies such as Polo, North State Telecommunications, Graphic Visual Solutions and High Point Bank (now Pinnacle). As a result, Kirkland has become the largest general contractor headquartered in High Point with more than 50 employees and annual revenues of $60 million.
